“We are SO happy that we hired Lauren/Twelfth Night Events to help coordinate our wedding at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in London. Although we initially hired her as a Day of Coordinator, we quickly realized how valuable her help was, and switched to a Partial Planning package. Even though a Venue Coordinator was available to us, having someone who was completely invested in making the day perfect specifically for the two of us was invaluable. We initially did not realize how much work planning a wedding is, and that it takes a lot of time, effort, and organization to make the day run smoothly. I had no idea what goes into planning an event like a wedding prior to hiring Lauren. Luckily, I still don’t completely know what goes into it. What I do know is that my wedding was phenomenal and three months later we are still hearing about how beautiful and well-planned it was from our friends and family (even strangers that have seen our photos on social media).
My partner and I had a vision of an ‘enchanted forest’ fairy tale wedding and that’s exactly what Lauren gave us in less than 10 months. For my job, I live in Halifax during the school year while my partner lives in London. After getting engaged a friend encouraged me to call Lauren, she told me I wouldn’t regret it and she was right! I knew I did not want the stress of researching, planning and organizing every little detail involved with weddings, so I am very happy I decided to have Lauren as my wedding planner.
Since the first meeting with Lauren I immediately felt at ease knowing I was in good hands. Right away I could tell Lauren was professional, extremely organized and of course very knowledgeable. She was very helpful and had good insight on what different vendors had to offer and which ones would better suit what we were looking for.
I felt like I did not have to stress, Lauren scheduled and organized all of my meetings with the vendors. Twelfth Night Events planned our wedding this summer. Hiring a wedding planner was an issue that we were, at first, very skeptical about. Thank God we ended up doing it. They were absolutely outstanding. They attended all of our important meetings, taking notes and ensuring that our vision for our wedding came true. They was also very cognisant of our budget, and made many recommendations which saved us a lot of money.
We chose to hire Twelfth Night as part of a partial wedding planning package. We had already selected a venue, decorator, and photographer. One thing we struggled with before hiring a wedding planner was the cost associated with it, and what services we would actually receive from that money. Not only were the services we received worth every penny (we had a large wedding, and the amount of work that the Twelfth Night Events team did was very impressive), we were able to calculate approximately how much money they saved us. Since we had already done some planning prior to hiring Twelfth Night Events, they showed us how changing up some of our decisions would give us the same result for much less money. The savings we made with them was nearly 5 times the cost of hiring Twelfth Night Events.
They helped us avoid more than a few potential wedding disasters. Using their expertise, they were able to bring to our attention several red flags with the decorator we had chosen, and facilitated us changing decorators to receive a much better result for the same amount of money. They worked closely with us to make our dream wedding come true. I (bride) remember how picky I was regarding flowers and head table design. They knew how important the head table and overall ballroom design was to us and they did not let us down. On the wedding day when they revealed the ballroom, my husband and I were shocked at how beautiful everything was! They had included every little detail we asked for. Details starting from signature drink signs to floral and table arrangements. They really listened to what we wanted and made our dreams come true. We are so happy that we hired them.
Above all else, we could tell that they truly wanted us to enjoy our wedding day and have everything be exactly as we wanted – and they delivered. They took a lot of work off of our hands, and saved us a lot of money along the way.
My partner and I were very busy professionals with little to no vision for our wedding day. Lauren was so flexible with meetings (even Skype or driving to see us) and she was on top of our deadlines for us. Having her as our planner facilitated the wedding of my dreams without me having to meet a single vendor.
She provided us with options yet always vetted those options so as not to waste our time. On the day of our wedding day Lauren allowed my family and I to really enjoy our day and spend time with eachother instead of worrying about everything (I’m sure there were blips that I didn’t even know about!)

Adam and I are so grateful to have the opportunity to hire and work with Lauren De Koster and her amazing and professional team of wedding planners at Twelfth Night Events. It all started when our friends Steven and Natasha had this magical and out of this world wedding that blew up all social media networks. As I marveled at all the details their wedding had, I couldn’t help but think that I want that but how on earth did they do this? How does a busy working couple with huge families on both sides have the time to plan an amazing wedding which reflects their personalities and adventurous visions? Then I found out they hired a Lauren and her team at Twelfth Night Events. Lauren and her team is a god sent! This was the exact phrase our friends described her as and this is 100% accurate.
We first hired Lauren for our engagement party to handle the candy/baked goods table. Needless to say, Lauren blew it out of the park and it was the BEST focal point of our day. Our pathways soon met again when we met at her office and had a lovely and informative meeting about her role as a wedding planner. We were completely comfortable and confident to hire Lauren to partially plan our wedding day. We chose partial planning as I was the type of bride who enjoyed every aspect of wedding planning and wanted to put in my part. Needless to say, I am a huge control freak and I needed to have full control over my wedding and Lauren was completely fine with that and WORKED WITH ME AS I WORKED FOR MYSELF. We had multiple meetings and what I love about Lauren and her team is that these meeting didn’t always have to be in person but a mixture of phone calls, emails, and text messages.
I like to describe Lauren as a chameleon as she is able to be firm yet professional with vendors which is needed when some are difficult to deal with, she is also able to be firm yet loving with brides like me who need to be told to take a step back and let her handle it. Lauren KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING, she has amazing vendors under her belt, and has a list of vendors bigger then you can imagine. I seemed as though when I needed something unusual like a vintage car or a saxophone and string quartet, she knew the professionals to contact. She is able to book and secure stops and services with vendors for brides. Lauren is detailed and nothing gets passed her, she is also creative and is able to work with decor and create focal points that just make you want to stop and stare and even shed a tear or two.
Lauren and her team were extremely professional and provided quality customer service that was worth the money. They earn what they get paid to do. They went above and beyond the call of duty planning our wedding and making sure our wedding day was the most perfect, Lauren attended and made notes during every single vendor meeting, and she communicated with vendors so I didn’t have to. I like to think of Lauren as a shield who protects her brides from the messiness that comes with booking vendors and noting the details. I was not stressed nor worried weeks before our wedding because I trusted Lauren and everything was done sooner than later thanks to her.
Our wedding day was nothing short of spectacular. Nothing went wrong that day. Lauren handled EVERYTHING. She picked up the decor I wanted her to set up and created beautiful displays which reflected my personal flare and passion for antiques and vintage items; she made sure Adam and I were taken care of throughout the evening; she took care of envelopes with vendor payments, she created magical and show stopping tables, and finally she made sure EVERYONE did their job and it was perfect. When Adam and I walked into our venue we were shocked, everything was exactly as planned and more. As a bride who spent almost two years planning and thinking about every detail of my wedding day, Lauren made sure that my visions and dreams came true.

I grew up in London Ontario, but have been living in Australia for over a decade. When Jake and I decided to get married in London, I originally just assumed we would be doing all the planning and hard work from overseas. Something I wasn’t really looking forward to. My personality is truely Gemini. I can range from being hopelessly indecisive to extremely picky. Although Jake is very easy going, he was concerned about costs.
I stumbled across Lauren and Twelfth Night Events when scouring the internet for a photographer. I kept seeing photos of various weddings I liked and seeing her company listed as the wedding planner. After a bit more googling I came to realise that hiring a wedding planner was absolutely within our financial reach. Jake and I quickly made an appointment with Lauren and also some of her competitors. Lauren was hands down the top of the event planning game in London. She was extremely professional, organised and just gave us so much confidence in her ability.
She takes pride in what she does and takes her business very seriously. She and her staff have strong relationships with several vendors and were able to make suggestions straight away to work within our budget. We managed to liaise with Lauren while we were in Australia over an 18 month period via email and Skype. Lauren also kept my family in London in the loop and utilised them for the important stuff like food and cake tasting.
TNE went above and beyond our expectations answering questions and assisting me with every last detail. At first it was a little scary when we arrived days before the wedding, having never seen the venue in real life or met any of our vendors in person, but I quickly remembered there was nothing to stress about at all because TNE would ensure everything met our standards.
The actual wedding day came and it was absolutely the best day of our lives. Lauren and her team had nearly every minute of the day organised and scheduled out. Jake and I only had to worry about turning up. All our vendors turned out to be amazing. Our guests all raved about how fabulous our wedding was, how beautiful the decor, how good the food was, how great the cake was and how much fun the music was. My father who is known to be hard to impress, was absolutely blown away. The best part was how relaxed both Jake and I were on the day and just got to enjoy ourselves. Our photos and videography turned out beautifully and really captured our personalities and the essence of the day.

Several months after my Husband and I got engaged I looked into TNE and their services. After sitting down with Lauren and hearing all of the work she puts into planning each wedding, I knew I must have her. I booked TNE for the Partial Package because I already had all my vendors booked. As the year progressed things were moving along smoothly until 3 months before our wedding when we went to choose our menu. Our initial venue retracted everything they said they would do for our wedding and all I could do was panic, our wedding would be nothing what we envisioned and is it even possible to make a change this close to the day? I called Lauren and told her the situation, she immediately started (1 month earlier than the contract start date) and within 2 days she had 2 venues priced out and compared several options at each for us to decide what worked best. From there on out Lauren ensured everything was perfect from A to Z. Countless meetings, messages and phone calls between us and with her and our vendors. This helped make sure things got done without consuming all of our time with emails and meetings.
Her attention to detail and ability to treat your wedding as if it were her own is outstanding. She truly wanted the perfect day for us as much as we did.
Lauren was our planner for everything leading up to the wedding but unfortunately when we booked her she was already committed to work on site at another wedding for the day. She attended our Rehearsal, arrived at my hotel room in the morning to make sure I was ok and have a little pep talk, worked her wedding and came back at the end of the night. This was the icing on the cake to our experience. She knew we were in good hands with her team members Courtney and Sonia but still made sure to personally touch base with us throughout the day.
Courtney and Sonia worked with us on the day of. They were both outstanding, checking in on me several times during the day as they set up the hall, having super glue, mints and needle and thread on hand for those little emergencies throughout the day and making sure we followed the itinerary and stayed on track.
Everyone commented how calm Kyle and I were on the day of. A large part of this is because we had nothing to worry about, our day would be perfect, we had a team making sure of it and we could thoroughly enjoy every minute of the day and focus on the fact that today was our day, we were getting married and becoming Husband and Wife.

“Lauren was the best decision we made for our wedding day and such an enormous help! Prior to our first meeting my now husband was unconvinced that we needed planners and didn’t see the cost-benefit but after meeting Lauren he agreed it was money very well spent. TNE is also well priced which a lot of people don’t realize, having a wedding planner is totally affordable and not just for celebrities!
Lauren executed our vision perfectly and took care of everything with our input. Our wedding day was worry-free and I could enjoy being a bride, a busy job in of itself. “When my husband and I got engaged, with the excitement also came the stress of having to plan a wedding. I didn’t know what vision/theme I wanted, or what vendors to contact. I began to stress over the enormity of planning the big day and realized this would be too much for me to plan on top of my already busy schedule. Whether you have a 50 person wedding, or a 300 person wedding this is an enormous event!
Almost immediately my best friend, a makeup artist with much experience in the wedding industry, told me I needed to hire Lauren and the Twelfth Night Events team. She explained to me that her brides who had Lauren were the least stressed, the happiest, and of course had the most beautiful weddings. As I had always had a love affair for beautiful weddings and an obsession with luxury wedding magazines, I began to research Twelfth Night Events and fell in love with what I saw! I realized immediately that Lauren was the one for us to help make our wedding dreams come true! I contacted Lauren immediately and we met. I was so impressed with how quick to respond Lauren was to my original email, on a holiday nonetheless.
Throughout our engagement Lauren’s professionalism and attention to detail never wavered, as she came along for meetings with vendors and helped us negotiate pricing, make adjustments to contracts and many more things I’m sure I have no idea about that happened behind the scenes. She suggested vendors that could provide the service and results that we wanted, and didn’t waste our time with vendors that could not. Helping us create our perfect day was not the easiest thing, as my husband and I had very conflicting visions of what we wanted our wedding to look like! I wanted modern and my husband wanted romantic, and somehow Lauren worked with our vendors and produced exactly what we both envisioned. Lauren handled every email and correspondence from every vendor; most brides have overflowing inboxes and phones ringing off the hook. Not me! Many times through the engagement people would try to sympathize with me, without me even saying anything! As if its an unwritten law that brides have it bad, saying “oh, don’t worry, your wedding will be here soon and the stress will be gone!” I would immediately correct them and say “Oh no, I have a wedding planner. We are good! I don’t want my engagement to be done! I love being a bride!!”. Explaining this was due to Lauren, was a huge understatement. I had zero stress, zero anxiety, nothing to worry about – other than of course the normal excitement of my big day approaching.
What I loved most about Lauren during our planning process was that little things that my husband or I mentioned to her that even WE forgot about, Lauren remembered. She genuinely cared about my husband and I, and it reflected in the every aspect of her work. When our big day finally arrived, we both simply got to be bride and groom, relax and take every moment in. There are so many things that happen the day before and the day of your wedding that brides have no idea about, or realize until the last minute, and Lauren handled them all. From paying vendors, to ensuring everything is set up according to contract and plan, dealing with any mishaps or changes to plan, and of course ensuring everything runs on schedule. As a strong A-type personality this was incredibly important to me, and Lauren blew my mind when it came to being even more A-type and organized than I was. From the first look, to walking down the aisle, to dinner service our entire day was absolutely perfect.
I will never forget shortly before walking down the aisle, feeling incredibly anxious for my “big moment”, and seeing Lauren walking towards me. Immediately seeing Lauren eased all anxiety and stress, and I was able to only focus on my love for my husband, and of course looking fierce on my walk down the aisle! This right here is worth everything, and is the very reason why every bride needs TNE.
Our wedding day was the most beautiful day of my life, and you can see it in our photos. I tell all newly engaged brides the best advice I can give you is to hire TNE immediately. Enjoy your time as a bride and let them do the work. It was so hard for me to write this review because I wanted to make sure it was ENOUGH, that it matched the amazing gift Lauren gave to us in being our wedding planner. “I wasn’t initially planning to have a day-of coordinator. We got married at a golf club with an on-site manager and so I didn’t think it was necessary. After hearing from many other couples that it was the “best decision they made”, I decided to take the plunge and booked TNE after being referred by a girlfriend.
From the very beginning, I knew it was the right choice. We worked closely with Courtney and Lauren leading up to our big day. I can’t say enough about how professional, responsive, organized & kind these ladies are! They thought about SO many little (but important!) things that I hadn’t… and I’m a very organized person! When we first got engaged, the first person that I booked was my makeup artist, Katie Foster(Taz Hair Co. London). One of the first things she said to me was to look into the Twelfth Night Events team because of all the brides that she works with, those were the ones that were the least stressed out. This was by far the BEST advice I was given.
As we started to book our venue, and look at other vendors, I didn’t think that I needed a wedding planner and that I could handle it all myself. WRONG. With both of us working full time jobs, it became increasingly difficult for us to find the time for the finishing touches and all of the details that truly make a wedding. Then came Lauren to save the day (literally).
We worked with Lauren for the last couple of months leading up to our wedding. Typically, the last few months are the most stressful, with invitations, RSVPs, finalizing details and making sure you haven’t forgotten a single item on your ‘checklist’ (in this case, timeline) BUT I couldn’t be stressed out even if I tried. We hired Lauren as a partial coordinator after realizing that as the wedding date approached the stress levels were increasing. We wanted a quick engagement (4-6 months) but we had high expectations for our special day and we wanted to host an event that was a real treat for our guests. Lauren was such an awesome person to have helped us plan our wedding. After trying and having no luck on our own we researched and asked Lauren to help plan our beach wedding. And what a great success it was. With all of her experience, she knew what would work and how things usually fall through. Lauren was extremely professional and detail orientated. She saved a lot of headaches ( and bridezilla) from trying to talk to vendors and such because she knows the proper people and professional vendors to work with.

At first we hired Lauren as a day-of-wedding planner encase it rained (our wedding was all outdoors in our yard). She was 100% committed to us from day 1.

She made it a point to come to my house to talk about concerns with a certain vendor that we had hired. Knowing that this would be a stressful situation, she comforted me and came up with solutions for us.
She responds to all e-mails defiantly by days end (usually within an hour of your email).
We had SO many compliments on how organized and smooth our wedding was. Our wedding day was a seamless transition between what Des and I envisioned/prepared to what Lauren and her staff produced.
Lauren had many faces/jobs at our wedding: driver/deliverer, decorator, problem solver, body guard, traffic director, bartender (always making sure the bridal party was well hydrated), time keeper, tidy-upper, advisor/counsellor, and overseer.
After Lauren left our wedding, she went to the hotel we were going to stay at that night and scattered rose pedals on the floor and bed. A note on the nightstand said, “Enjoy your new life as Mr. and Mrs.”
We absolutely recommend Lauren and her staff to anyone getting married! Des and I were able to be guests at our own wedding because we didn’t have to worry about anything – we literally were allowed to live in the moment and soak in all the love from each other, our family and our friends. She was our J.Lo from The Wedding Planner (she even had the head sets!)
Lauren and Twelfth Night Events (TNE) were an unexpected gift. As a couple, we did not have the time to plan a wedding. We also were clueless as to what that entailed. We did a thorough search and after several email exchanges between different planners, we chose TNE. The reason – professionalism, knowledgeability, responsiveness, and a reasonable price.
At our first meeting with Lauren we stated that we needed a planner who would do the majority of the work. This was no problem – she had already prepared a timeline for us to see what and when things would be happening. She was also very clear that this was our wedding and our wants and needs would be her first priority. She does not do more than one wedding a day, and only one large wedding a weekend. She was able to draw out of us the essentials needed to create our dream wedding. Lauren has many connections within Southwestern Ontario and we were able to find highly skilled vendors at very reasonable (and sometimes discounted) prices!
We only worked with Lauren, so we developed a great relationship with her. We were very concerned about the budget, so Lauren would review where we stood at each meeting we had with her in person, and in the end we were right on target with a much more elaborate wedding than we would have been able to afford without TNE. Lauren made herself available to help with any issue that arose, even those not directly related to the wedding planning (such as a wedding dress purchase gone bad).
On the day of, things ran like clockwork – guests approached us and stated that they had never been to a wedding as organized and on-time as ours. Overall, you will not be disappointed with TNE. They are reliable, responsible, readily available, personable, and have a wealth of knowledge that will save you money and more importantly, allow you to continue to live your life as the wedding of your dreams is being prepared.
Lauren was a life saver for our wedding planning process! After dealing with an unprofessional vendor we knew we had to get a wedding planner. After some interviewing we knew we had to hire Twelfth Night Events. Lauren set us up with the most amazing, professional and reliable vendors and she was there for every meeting to help guide us through the unknown waters that was wedding planning. After getting in contact with Lauren a couple weeks after our engagement, Lauren proved to us that 8 months was more than enough time to plan the perfect wedding that we have been dreaming of.
