Principal Planner + Owner
After having worked with Shandi, as a Venue Coordinator at one of our favourite venues for many years, we swiftly snagged her for our own team when the opportunity arose.
Since joining Twelfth Night Events in 2017, Shandi has won the hearts of our clients and truly embodies the high standards and exceptional service we aim to offer.
As a veteran of the Hospitality industry for more than 10 years, Shandi has held many positions; from Banquet Server, to Bartender, to Food & Beverage Manager, to Event Coordinator, and now Wedding + Event Manager for our team. Her devotion to the industry and extensive knowledge have become an incredibly valuable asset to our clients.
Get to know Shandi on a personal level: Shandi is a HUGE T-Swift fan. She has been to every concert on her tours and even had the chance to meet her in 2007. Shandi is married to her high school sweetheart, Tyler, who she married in June 2018 and they recently expanded their family, welcoming Brooks, their son, during lockdown. She loves her fur baby Rocco, and all dogs for that matter, and will always stop to pet a friendly dog.
Lauren De Koster
Creative Director + Owner
As Creative Director and Owner for Twelfth Night Events, Lauren has been planning weddings & events for more than a decade under the brand.
Originally from the GTA, Lauren began her career working for major restaurant chains and five-star hotels, where her passion for event planning sparked. She received her certification as an International Wedding Planning Professional in 2010 and has been actively planning weddings ever since.
Lauren is meticulous with the details and her passion will be apparent from your very first meeting. Her only goal is to create an unforgettable planning experience, and she believes your event is as important to her, as it is to you. Lauren isn’t afraid to voice her opinion - and she has a lot of them! She is exceptionally creative, witty, loves a dry sense of humour, and believes that event planning should be fun. Bonding with her clients and maintaining a lasting friendship are high on her list of importance, all while maintaining a high level of professionalism at every opportunity. Lauren believes that every client should have a 5-star experience when planning their wedding.
Get to know Lauren on a personal level: When Lauren isn’t working, she can most often be found at home spending time with her family. She loves the Real Housewives of everywhere + anything on Bravo, playing dress up with her daughter, Olivia, and a chilled glass of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc.

2023 SEASONAL EVENT ASSISTANT
We are currently seeking a hardworking and detail oriented individual to join our team as an Event Assistant for Twelfth Night Events and our venue, Wheatfield Estate.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
• Meticulous set up of wedding details (decor placement)
• Placement/movement of tables / chairs / furniture / etc.
• General assistance to the Event Manager + hired Vendors
• General duties, as assigned
A successful candidate thrives in an extremely fast-paced, high pressure, highly demanding environment, and are considered meticulous and attentive to detail.
• Highly organized, creative, and detail oriented
• A self-starter who works well in a fast paced work environment + under pressure
• Career driven and looking for a long-term position in the event industry
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum 1 year of Hospitality experience is a requirement
• Drivers License + own vehicle required
• Available + flexible to work a variety of weekends + long hours for events
